BAILEYS SUGAR FREE IRISH CREAM
What type of sweetener is used in Baileys Sugar Free Irish Cream?
We have used Monkfruit in our homemade Baileys as a sweetener.
Some information about Monkfruit for those who aren’t familiar with it:
Monkfruit can be brought online or in Woolworths (Australia). If there is no monkfruit in your area you can use a sugar substitute.

👍 Has zero calories and carbs
👍 Does not raise blood glucose levels
👍 Safe for everyone, including pregnant women and children
👍 Won’t cause tooth decay.
👍 Use Monkfruit just as you would use normal sugar.
Makes approx 400 ml / 13 fl oz
How to make BAILEYS SUGAR FREE IRISH CREAM:
- 160 ml / 4.16 fl oz Full Cream
120 grams / 4 oz Monkfruit Sugar
1/2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa
1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
1/2 teaspoon Instant Coffee
120 ml / 4 fl oz Jameson Irish Whiskey
- In a pot put the cream, Monkfruit, cocoa and coffee.
Stir on LOW until sugar has dissolved
Once dissolved add in the vanilla essence.
Remove from heat and add the whiskey and whisk thoroughly until all combined.
Pour into a bottle and store in the fridge for a week if it lasts that long!
